Hey Glynn, Name: Ken Mays Affiliation: Blastwave.org, KDE for Solaris, Desktop-discuss Short Bio: http://www.blastwave.org/maintainers/kenmays
Years ago I started as a systems programmer/analyst working on PDP/VAX and Rainbow computers for Digital Equipment Corporation. Persoanl home computers were not affordable or available to the average computer science student back then so we used breadboard circuits to play games on LED chips. I believe in the power of Community involvement and in the processes needed to enhance the ingenuity of innovation through tools and accessible documentation. Not only do I see students and developers understanding the technical prowess of being on OpenSolaris projects, but in becoming key core contributers of within those projects and in their community. That is done through those of us willing to be leaders through governing and architectural bodies to ensure everyone has a voice that will be heard. I wanted to join the OGB because I believe in community development and the policies of governance. I also believe that everyone has a voice in the community and that every voice should be respected and heard. My goal is to assist the OGB by opening the doors of opportunity, discussion, and support where there was none before - and help make the OpenSolaris web site more reliable and accessible than ever! ;o) Sincerely, Ken Mays -- This message was posted from opensolaris.org
