I based the announcement on the precedence that has been set (project
announcements that have been made by other projects). I request people to
review some of the recent announcements listed below.

New Tadpole Platform Support project open for business

New Project: OpenSolaris Ports Collection

OpenSolaris project: Network Storage

New OpenSolaris Project: Java kstats

New OpenSolaris Project: Mozilla DTrace

While there are no elaborate details about the existing busybox project, the
opening statement about the project in the announcement is:
"This project is about providing busybox( www.busybox.net) equivalent on
OpenSolaris."

Which indicates the existing busybox with link reference.

In the absence of any guidelines/templates, I believe it would be fair to
say the level of details provided is as much if not more compared to most
other project announcements that have been made. If those were acceptable so
should it be the case with this one.

The project announcement automation and the 1-pager template that are
mentioned should help any *future* disparities.

best regards
Shiv

ps: My mail to the list initially got reject instead of going to the
moderation queue since I was not a member of the list. The list itself was
not listed at opensolaris.org->forums. I had to figure out the url based on
other mailing lists so that I could subscribe and respond.
