I think a calender is a good idea, but I would like the official
OGB calender to only contain things that we commit too (ie. drafts
are fine someplace else). We can vote and commit things to the
official calender at every meeting.

Also, regarding "Contributor Recognition & Partnering program"
calender entries.

I have a lot of reservations about adding this into our goals
right off the bat. Award programs require a lot of work, and
to run them right (which they should be if the OGB sponsors
them) may take us away from other more pressing matters.

Also, I'm tired of ridiculously subjective and opportunist
award programs that reward people for already doing something,
which are great for that person, but tend to alienate everyone
else. I think contests are more fun and can motivate people
to move us past where we are. But they take even more work.

If someone runs a contest and wants us to help judge it or
announce the winner that's fine, but all members of the board
may want to think about freeing up our time for governance
more than filling it. There are only so many hours in a year.

Cheers,
Jim
