As usual, our preference for expedience over strict adherence to the
rules has left us in an ambiguous situation. Is the weekly meeting a
"regular meeting" per 6.8, for which no notice is required, or does
the cancelled-unless-notice-given aspect mean that the regular meeting
was cancelled and Mr. Rockwood is now asking that another board member
join him in requesting a "special meeting", for which 7 days' notice
or waiver is required?

Personally I'm willing to grant waiver of notice and meet, and even
join Mr. Rockwood in requesting the meeting (for his sake only; I have
no agenda items). But Mr. Dik's inability to attend may be related to
the timing of notice, and I would think it entirely reasonable to
justify cancellation on that basis. In any case, every board member
would have to waive notice.
