I think giving them the benefit of the doubt until they prove otherwise seems
like the right approach to me, and being available to give them guidance
whenever they need it.

Jonathan did say many moons ago that he expected Sun's entire software portfolio
to be open source in the future, which means that we're likely to have various
product groups come our way, who may be out of their comfort level about how
best to engage with an open source community and a potential change in process.
It's a learning experience on both sides IMO.
