It is pretty cool, though, in one respect to see all the stuff I remember
so fondly returning. Most nostalgia looks better at arm's length, so
there are some aspects of 1980 I'd rather not see return. But I have
faith that the new versions of these old favorites will be up-to-date in
all the ways that matter even as they (we can hope) capture whatever it
was that was magical about our hobby's past.
Sheesh. I just realized how much nostalgia I've been BUYING recently.
Between D&D3E and the original Traveller reprint volumes, I'm practically
wallowing in reveries of the past.
And I love it.
