We don't actually know that any product was destroyed. The release said, "Further, let it be known that any copies of XXXX in Fast Forward's possession have been destroyed."

Note that it doen't say X copies of Y were destroyed. It's entirely possible they sold off their inventory to distributors (possibly at a big discount) or liquidators. They could then say to WotC, "Well, our inventory is zero, so there's nothing to destroy."
