On 13 Jun 2003 Ryan scribbled a note about RE: [Ogf-l] Mongoose's d20 Cyberpunk:

> Yes. Nobody was authorized by Wizards of the Coast to license "Dungeon
> Master" as Open Game Content.

I am sorry, but I have only been paying half-way attention to this
thread. Now, I thought that Wizards was the one who used the term in
their own SRD. If that is the case, then they cannot claim that an
employee made a mistake and recall it. If they can do that, it makes the
whole OGL nothing more than a sham in my opinion.

Just went and checked the official SRD and "Dungeon Master" is in it.
WOTC itself has released the term into open content. Since it is in the
official SRD, officially released, after being cleaned up and checked
over to remove things they did not want released, then it can be
concluded that it was either intended to be released, or that somebody
messed up, and now it is too late to do anything about it.

If any other company released something by accident, there is no way that
they could pull it back in according to everything that I have heard. The
same goes for this.
