I've perused various websites, google, wizards, and the archives for this mailing list and haven't found a good answer for this question.
I want to use parts of the SRD in an online game, specifically a MUD. Does this constitute distribution? In terms of the GPL, for example, server side applications are not considered distribution. Does this hold true for the OGL as well? I do not want to distribute the source code or the source content of the MUD, and I want to leave the option of commercial use open. Variations on that theme include: - Adding d20 rules (though not necessarily advertising d20 compatibility) - Having a fully web based game (not a MUD type game) which has no client component.
