I am far from certain, but the logic of the argument is sound.  The whole
think might flop in our faces, or it might just bubble along happily as a
niche market without ever exploding into its full potential.  We'll have to
wait and see.

I think there are very few people in the gaming industry who are in a
position to form such an opinion with any credibility.  When this happens in
the computer industry and it comes true, we call it 'visionary'.  When it
fails to come true, we still call it 'visionary', but we also call it
'apple'.  (Sorry, I couldn't resist, but I tried, really I did!  Actually, I
love Apple, and hope they keep being the iconoclast's choice for computing).
