 You were right, don't back down now.  You may not be an IP attorney, but you 
are still a lawyer and you have knowledge and experience that many of us will 
never have.  Most importantly, you know that even an IP attorney doesn't have 
all the answers to these confusing questions, because this is new territory.  
This list and WotC is currently practicing preventative law on a large scale. 
  So, it is imperative that those who have the skills to debate do so with a 
vengeance.

We owe it to ourselves to question EVERYTHING about this.  The OGL and the 
D20 system could change the gaming industry forever.  It's hard to argue and 
disagree, but it's the only way to get to the truth or to the best answer.  I 
only wish I had more to offer so I didn't have to lurk all the time.  I feel 
like I'm sitting in on the Constitutional Convention  with my head up my rear.

But I digress.
