That is not what I said I'd be doing, although others might. We'll be
attaching OGC to a closed IP. So its not like we're aren't doing *any* work...
But to go with *your* example:
A) they are exposing more people to the overall body of OGC material, people
that otherwise wouldn't have seen it (for if they had, they wouldn't have
bought it, they can get it for free, remember?).
and if they sell it through distribution or to retailers,
B) they are helping generate profit for the local retailer, so he can keep
his store open. And for the distributor, so he can buy more Pokemon cards
and ignore small publishers...(oops, sorry for the rant)
While this is a small contribution, I don't remember Ryan stating that only
altruists should sign up to use d20 and the OGL materials.
