Jason asked:

"The monsters, are they going to be original, or
rehashes from various game systems, i.e. is it going
to be a D20 Expansion for preexisting material or
will it all be new?"

The monsters are ALL NEW. This is NOT going to be
"other monsters from other games packaged into d20."

Think of the Creature Collection as sort of a Fiend
Folio to the MM (except way better than the "Friend"
Folio). There will be some new variations of familiar
monster types (a few new Golems and a new type of
Goblin, for example).

In addition, the text of the monster descriptions link
them to a setting called the Scarred Lands, which
Necromancer and Sword and Sorcery Studio will be
developing through a future line of products. Though
they have this setting flavor, all the monsters are
useable in any fantasy campaign.

As is true of White Wolf and Necromancer, I feel that
the monsters have a darker edge to them. Just wait
until you see the Feral and the Undead Ooze, for
example. Those will be instant classics.

I, personally, am geeked about the Creature
Collection.
