Mr. Kim's site is a great resource for you to begin
your investigation into trademark and copyright
issues.
However, I've said it before and I say it again: dont
rely on lay interpretations of the law in this area.
It is difficult even for experts in the field. And the
broad propositions advanced on many such lay sites are
actually over-generalizations of the legal decisions
cited.
I just urge everyone caution. If you are contemplating
going outside the "safe harbor," please consult with
an attorney. Do not simply rely on a lay person's web
site. I am not proposing that Mr. Kim is trying to get
people to just rely on his site. But as an attorney I
wanted to add this little note of caution.
