Wow, a lot of great postings today. So many have come close to answering
a nagging concern of mine, but it hasn't been happened with 100%
certainty, so I must ask.

I have yet to find a clear answer on a how to refer to the d20srd
without using the d20stl. Perhaps there isn't one. For some of my
products, I'd like to say "This (game, tool, whatever) is base on the
mechanics in the d20 srd" or "it uses the same game mechanics outlined
in the d20srd." I don't want to use the d20 logo and I'm not trying to
imply compatibility with DnD. Obviously, the main problem with the two
above phrases is that I'm using "d20", a trademarked term.

I understand and respect WOTC's need for the d20stl, but can we rename
or provide an alternate name for the SRD? It seems to be a catch22. The
SRD itself is "open", released under the OGL (or will be in the future),
but the name of it is trademarked. I can use it, but I can't say that
I'm using it. Perhaps I'm wrong there. I'd really appreciate
clarification.

In the past people have suggested creative ways to refer to DnD, like
"3rd edition" or "The world's most popular RPG". But I don't want to
refer to Dnd, just the d20srd. That's all.
