Definitely a good thing to clear up. My previous post was addressing a
comment that Doug Meerschaert made, and was not intended to put words in
your mouth.
Honestly, I'm far more concerned with the detail of the licences and what
is considered 'open' and less with the history - or possible alternate
histories - of the industry.
