While its still not version 1.0, there's another online gaming application, OpenRPG (http://www.openrpg.com). Its an open source application released under the GPL. I can't speak for GRIP, but webrpg isn't developed anymore. The company that owns it, hasn't paid its maintainer in months, and will proably go bankrupt in the year.
