Hello all,

Recently I commissioned a piece of artwork which
depicts a 3/4 view of a village. My plan is to detail
this village over the course of several issues of my
monthly print publication, Scrollworks. The ultimate
goal is to make the final draft available to
developers who need a farm for heroes to save in a
module, a sample settlement for a campaign setting,
and so on. I know we've all been there before. You
have a great villain and all you need is some berg to
raze and therefore a reason for the heroes to earn
their keep.
All I'd ask from the publisher is that they
indicate somewhere that the "free village project" is
copyright Scrollworks Press and is available for use
by other publishers via royalty free, non-exclusive,
renewable license. I have studied a variety of OGLs
and am nearing a final draft that will be forwarded to
my Pre-Paid Legal rep.
Is this allowable in the d20STL/OGL? Technically
it would seem that if the village appeared in a d20
product it would be designated as Close Content,
although aspects of it such as stat blocks are
obviously Open. I guess the real question is: Can I
license the Closed Content material of a d20 project?

Many thanks,
Christian Walker
