Good point.
how about this for the "Free20" permission? (The permission statement
follows, with my comments in parenthesis.)
*********************
You have right to use *Free20 Stuff*, if and only if you also do all of the
following:
1: Comply with the OGL. (If you are in violation of the OGL such that it is
void for you, then this license is also void.)
2: Legally use the d20 trademark, either through the d20STL or through a
seperate agreement. (So, feel free to throw your weight around, or slap
this logo on a web freebie if you're a for-profit company.)
3: Release the entirety of your product for distribution free of charge.
You can claim as much Product Identify as you are legally able. However,
you must clearly identify the entire work as Open Game Content, and grant
permission for legal users of the Free20 trademark to use all of your
Product Identity, save for identifing names. (by "identifing names" I mean
either the proper names of individual NPCs or the full name of the work.
And yes, I'll add a definitions section.)
4: Not hold liable the owner of any Free20 work you derivate from or who
advises you on the use of the applicable laws and licenses, in any general
or specific fashion, unless you have a seperate legal and written agreement.
(This is intended for fans and people who don't have lawyers... who are
doing this for free, anyway. If big corporations can put langauge like this
in and expect it to stick, I guess I can.)
If you meet the above three requirements, you may use the Free20 trademark.
If any of the above requrements are not met, then you do not have permission
to use this trademark or any PI that requires permission to use this
trademark.

Any and all comments are welcome. There is a significant population of
people interested in making open games for fun, rather than for profit. I
think that it is a worthy endeavor, and I will contact everyone I can find
who is attempting to do the same thing.
