Title: RE: [Ogf-l] Attribute Changes?

If you're using it to put on something like a Trading Card (And the Trading Card is pre-made) Then you don't need to worry about character creation since the character is already made.

Here's an interesting question for the group: If your system involves card improvement (Sort of like Pokemon CCG Evolution rules) does writting down the rules for what happens when you put one card on top of another count as "Character advancement rules" in terms of the D20 Liscence? For Example: I have Rothgard Lv. 1 Barbarian in play and Rothgard Lv. 2 Barbarian in my hand and I want to advance him by putting the Lv2 card on top of the Lv 1 card. My rules say whenever your character advances in level all spell effects (Charm person, sleep, etc) are negated. Is that an advancement rule or does it only involve XP expenditures?

|A: You can create a new attribute, define what it is for, and
|define the
|ranges of values it might have. You can't explain what to do
|with it at
|character creation. Figuring out how to convey that information to the
|reader seems impossible to me, but I've been surprised before.
|Good luck!"
|
|You might be able to so something like "Use the character
|creation in the
|PHB except roll 3 times instead of 6 in Step X."  But that
|might be too
|much too.
