I have recently stumbled across the following site:

Which contains abstracts and links to the key cases that have shaped the
copyright law over the past hundred years or so. It makes for very
interesting reading.
While I make no claims or representations about the contents from a legal
standpoint, I suggest that anyone interested in the issue of applying the
copyright law to games should spend some time browsing through this
collection. I found it enlightening.
