You can place them in non-open content. This falls under Fair Use, and the exact details of how you do this are beyond the scope of the license. The relevant point with respect to the OGL is that you do not have the 'authority to contribute' material distributed under Fair Use, so it cannot be OGC. > Secondly, can I mention D&D products in my foreword if it is Open Gaming > Content? You can mention products. You cannot mention trademarks without permission. That severely restricts the way in which you can identify products. When I wrote my Vp/Wp conversion guide, I wanted to mention Star Wars in my foreword, since my rules were inspired in part by its Vp/Wp rules. Unfortunately, Lucas never returned my phone calls, so I was stuck calling it "a new release of a popular science-fiction game". Again, even if you are granted permission to use the trademarks, you will probably not be given permission to release them as OGC. That would be tantamount to having the mark fall into the public domain, which would eliminate its value as a mark. -Brad _______________________________________________ Ogf-l mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.opengamingfoundation.org/mailman/listinfo/ogf-l
