I suspect if Lucas appealed, he'd win. Actually, the creators of "Sailor 
Moon" and "Dragonball Z" have a much stronger case than Lucas, based on the 
illustrations I saw. The "parody" exemption is possible, but there are 
boundaries even to parody -- check out the case over "The Wolveroach", for 
example. There, it was ruled that a one-shot parody is acceptable, an 
ongoing parody series is not. An interesting line to draw...
