I thought that was what the logos on the left side of the link Mike posted
(http://fga.ogexchange.com/articles/All_In_One_2.jpg) were about. The
logo that is a d6 with the top opened up like box. And the overlayed text
was for indicating things such as 'things product is 100% open' or 'this
product is published under WotC's Open Gaming License'. I don't think
anyone has expressed any problem with those logos or that WotC is likely
to consider them infringing on the 'd20 system' mark. (altho consulting a
trademark attorney is still probably a good idea.)

The Free20 (or Open20) logos on the right side are likely to be the ones
WotC will be most concerned about. And I was always under the impresstion
that these logos were not about open gaming in general but intended for
people who were publishing material compatible with what the OGExchange
calls the 'Mammoth' document. (For those who don't know, the Mammoth
document is essentially the D20SRD but adding back the items removed by
WotC - character creation and advancement [done through outside work, not
by copyright violation just in case someone wonders how they could have
done this] and some other additions such as Brad Thompson alternative hp
system and more complete descriptions of monsters, etc.) In other words
the Free20 logo is for people who are basically doing d20 material that
either can't use WotC's 'd20 system' logo (probably because they are
including character creation/advancement) or don't want to use WotC's logo
for some other reason. That's the logo that is the toughest to design (at
least as long as some people want the logo to somehow show some relation
to the D20SRD) as well as being the one most likely to appear quickly on
WotC's radar and get close scrutiny.
