I just got off the phone with WotC, and I have a few updates. 1. People who already have an NDA with WotC for some other project, such as play testing, must submit a new NDA for the d20 Modern Mailing List.
2. The Mailing list for the time being will be Restricted to just publishers and their staff. It may at some point in the future be opened up to more people, such as freelance authors writing manuscript that needs to be delivered later this year, but at this time it is for publishers only. Sorry. If a publisher has already contracted with you to produce a product, I believe WotC would consider that being "publisher staff" -- just send along a letter with your NDA explaining that your already under contract with publisher "X", and a contact name & number for that publisher. 3. Anthony is buried under a lot of work, and sounded kind of "frazzled" on the phone, but he said he would try and drop a note here later to give voice as to why this is hosted at the FGA.
