I notice that they plan to narrow down all the one-page proposals to 10 submissions between June 21st and July 3rd. Anyone want to start a pool on the new date they set after they realize that they don't have enough time to review everything before people take off for a long Independence Day weekend? I'll take July 31st. Foolishly optimistic dates aside, I think this is a cool idea. I rather like companies that solicit ideas from the public (and pay for them). What I'd like even better is if, after the winning submission is selected from the three third-round nominees, the other two 100-page bibles would be published as OGC and released for free on the Wizards web site. That way, the two runners-up would get their 15 minutes of fame along with the $10,000. Don't you think that would be even cooler?
