It's a good idea, if for no other reason that if someone uses your OGC the
have all the sources there and don't end up getting in trouble, and likely
developing an unfavorable opinion of you, because you didn't cite all your
background sources in that particular product's Section 15.

Product A from Company Y (original material)
Product B from Company Y (using material from Product A)
Product C from Company Z (using material from Product B)

Assuming that C uses nothing but OGC material from Product B, and Product B does not include Product A in its Section 15, then there is no reason why Product C would need to include Product A in their Section 15: They didn't use OGC from Product A, they only used OGC from Product B.

Now, if they used OGC material from Product A that wasn't OGC material in Product B, they would need to include Product A in their Section 15. But if they did this, then they would know about Product A (since that's where they're getting the OGC from).
