Not if the reference includes a Trademark (such as "Wizards of the Coast"). The OGL requires that trademarks may only be used with permission of their respective owners. Wizards has gently discouraged the use of page numbers when referencing its works. They prefer you use the chapter/section title, but don't have any means to enforce this. > Does this mean that, if I so chose, I could create an NPC for > an OGC adventure, and for that NPC use the varient > Ranger class from BoHM to generate his statistics and abilities? If it is designated as OGC, then yes. You may also include OGC descriptions of any Feats, Class Abilities, and Skills that are introduced in the BoHM. You might or might not be able to credit that work where it appears in your work though - see the comment about trademarks above. > If so, would I be required to credit the BoHM in my product? You must update section 15 of the OGL with your own copyright notice, plus the EXACT copyright notice found in the section 15 of any other work you use. > Okay, thanks, for having patience with a newbie. Figuring out that you can't use the material in copyrighted works like Song & Silence is much better than most people start out. Just don't ask about software. -Brad _______________________________________________ Ogf-l mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.opengamingfoundation.org/mailman/listinfo/ogf-l
