This conforms to Ryan's reading of the situation as well.  And is similar to the Creative Commons "perpetual (for the duration of the copyright)" language.

I'd just like to see some case law in the questionable jurisdictions to confirm this interpretation.  May be time for a bit of Lexis-Nexis research.
