Hi there,Cheers for the heads up - I am not going to join the
group as I belong toway too many already! However, you would be
welcome to post the following in my name;'

Hi guys,

I have to admit, the problems you have raised with declaration
of OGC in ourbooks is not something that really raised itself in
our office, as we havehad little trouble in negotiating such
things ourselves. If you follow thegeneral principle that any
d20 dervied mechanic has to be OGC, then youcannot go far wrong.
However, it is not our intention to close materialoff - if in
doubt, you are more than welcome to drop me a line
[EMAIL PROTECTED] and ask! To date, we have not
refused anyuse of our material on any grounds. An example -
someone asked me recentlyif our Character Concepts within the
Quintessential books are OGC.Technically, I guess we could say
no, only the d20 mechanics in thebonuses/penalties of each
concept are OGC. However, we are more than happyto let such
things go - not that we would have much of a leg to stand onwith
this anyway :)

The only area we are very careful about is with our licenced
products - insuch cases, while the d20 rules remain OGC, the PI
remains the property ofother companies. That means you would not
be fighting us butRebellion/Warner Bros./Universal/whomever.
However, the same rule applies -just ask, we will be more than
happy to tell you what you can and cannotuse. More often than
not, the answer will be yes.

As for Ultimate Feats, yes, we were well aware that section 15
would be amess - this is something that we played around with
but, in the end, optedfor basic compliance (remember, there
_are_ over 1000 feats. . .).

Now, in our Ultimate Games Designer's Companion, we _are_
including aseperate section 15 entry for each rules set, so
people can chop and changeto their heart's content. At the end
of the day, it is just more realisticto do this with the UGDC
than it was for the multiple entries in Feats.

Hope that clears things up - we are not in the business of
denying anyoneanything. In fact, with our forthcoming Armageddon
2089 RPG, we have anopen licence/offer to any other publisher to
use our PI as well as OGC.Including artwork. We'll even
advertise for you. So give me a call if youare interested :)

If you ever have any questions, just ask.'
