In short, for those who do not have the SWRCRB, your hit points become your

WP are equal to your CON (times a multiplier if you are Huge+, or Tiny-), and
you take WP damage 1) after you run out of VP, or 2) on a critical hit.
Aside:
am i the only one who thinks the names are reversed? It sounds to me like "vitality" should be the, well, vital, living essence of yourself. After all, vitality in a non-game context is about being alive. Wounds--well, ok, that also sounds like an actual physical thing, but less so than vitality, to me. And, it makes more sense to me to say you take all sorts of wounds, but a lucky hit can cut right to your vital essence than to say that you can lose all sorts of vitality, but a lucky hit will cause a wound. I dunno, maybe it should be fatigue/wounds if you're creating your own system?
