Yesterday, the FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau released a Public Notice setting January 30, 2017 as the deadline for broadband providers to notify Frontier and the FCC that they provide broadband service of at least 3 Mbps/768 kbps in 515 census blocks. In other words, Frontier would like to claim additional CAF funding for these blocks, but can only do so if there is no unsubsidized competitor meeting the 3/768 standard as Frontier claims.
