Y'know what's weird? The first time I played Wandering Hamster, I found
that potted cactus on the mountain (either just before or just after the
boss, can't remember), but in all subsequent playthroughs, I've yet to
see it there. Odd.

The cactus is actually earlier on. You're forced to see it, since it's
on a path you must take. The characters stop and comment on it.
You can see it in Part 5, around the 8:35 mark.

I know, that's the weird part! The FIRST time I played it, it didn't
show up there! \o.o/ Instead, it was on the mountain, and when I tried
to chase after it, it jumped off.
I wonder if James ever modified the appearance of the potted cactus and
moved it to an earlier point in the game. o.O

James, was the cactus ever in a different spot? Now that I think about
it, I recall not seeing the cactus at one point as well...
