The core of RSAV is complete. it now reproduces everything the old SAV format could do. But before I make it the default, I wanted to explore a couple questions:
/state/camera/mode this is currently an int, the same as gen(genCamera) and I would have to dig around in the source to figure out what the values mean. Maybe I should change this to a short string of text like "hero" "npc" "panning" or whatever is appropriate after I research it? Is this worth it? I don't actually expect the camera modes to change. /script/gameover_script /script/loadgame_script These are both ints. They store the id number of those script triggers. What would be the consequence of storing the names of the scripts instead? /party/slot[]/rename_on_add I am currently saving this bitset only because the old save format saved it, but I can't think of any situation where it could matter. If nobody else can think of a reason, I will remove it. /vehicle/def/* I am saving not just the state of the vehicle, but also its definition. I am only doing this because the old format did it. Can anybody think of some reason I might be forgetting about? Otherwise I will remove this. --- James _______________________________________________ Ohrrpgce mailing list [email protected] http://lists.motherhamster.org/listinfo.cgi/ohrrpgce-motherhamster.org
