After the most recent problem investigations, it became apparent that I did not need some of the changes in EC initialization, so I backed those out. In particular, EC initialization once again happens after AcpiEnableSubsystem, same as before. I kept the EC code organization improvements as those will help with any further work on this.
There's still more work needed for systems, but no regressions that I'm aware of. Please have another look at the webrevs. (changed are: acpi-gwr3, acpi-11) I believe this work is ready to integrate.
