I vote for leave it up to the window system. Was this tested on dual displays?
In particular, twinview? Does it land half on one monitor, half on the other?

In this pull request, Alexander Murashko proposes making iv always bring its
window up initially centered on the display.
Anybody want to weigh in on whether this is a good or bad idea?
I think the current behavior is just to leave it up to the window system.
