Hi, I bet OIIO could benefit from GSoC this year. We have 93 open issues that could definitely be addressed by GSoC students. One of the students could "give some love" to IV - 14 open issues+ it needs some performance improvement - smart person with the help of mentor could made a nice project that would address those (most of them, if not all).
What I miss is some great build script that would allow to build OIIO on Windows systems. Currently, it's huge pain and it is a reason why I stopped looking for Windows build (and unfortunatelly don't have time to invest in it). Possibly, this project could be done with integrating cpack. I would welcome also students that would wan't to finish/improve one of the past projects. Chad proposed one, I think there are some other projects from the past that need some attention? PSD plugin? Image algo? Finally, I think OIIO have some cool client-projects. Maybe they have some idea/needs? PS: I could be a mentor for one of the projects.
