You can.
build the website and (I just do "ant release" and copy db-ojb-1.0.2-website.tgz up to minotaur)
make an ojb directory in your home dir
untar the website tarball into the ojb dir
go to /www/db.apache.org
mv the existing ojb directory to a backup, and your new one to where it was:
mv ojb ojb.backup; mv ~/ojb .
Give the db group write access to it so others can make changes as well =)
chown -R :db ojb
chmod -R g+w ojb

ok, I have tried to update some single .html-files on the website. We will see the result in < 4 h ;-)

I'm not a shell-expert, so I haven't the heart to do such "evil shell stuff" this time.

Then you are going to hate my instructions for pushing a release which contain niceties like:

for x in $(find . | egrep -v md5 | egrep -v asc); do gpg --armor --detach-sign $x; done
