how do we want to handle the parallel trunk and 1.0.x branch in the future ?
the differences are getting bigger and bigger, almost every day ;)
imo we should merge all changes from 1.0.x into 1.1 asap and then terminate the branch.

How about deciding on 1.0.4 as the last scheduled 1.0.x maintenance release?

If we decide to only fix critical bugs in the branch after this no new
functionality should be added to 1.0.x and development focus can be moved
to the trunk.

For the upcoming 1.0.4 release it would be good if we could first set a
preliminary (very approximate) release date and summarize what everyone
wants to get done before this date.

It would be nice to know things like this with a bit of heads-up, so that
Armin don't have to work like crazy the last few days. ;)

i would also like to see a prerelease of 1.1 but i do not know how to do it on winxp :(

Unfortunately I have failed to follow up on the creation of some release- scripts or the like on ASF servers, since I have really limited "OJB-time" at the moment...

I think Brian is still the critical resource for release management.

Cheers,
 Martin
