You only need the internal tables to use certain features.

I'm using a database sequence for my primary keys and I've not needed
any of the other stuff yet so all I've done is included all the jars
from the binary dist into my classpath along with a copy of the
repository xml files rewritten for my app.

This doc more specifically covers what you need for deployment:

Subject: Installation of OJB

Hi to all,

just a question about to install OJB
i read, that i have to load the sources and
run some build-scripts okay.

but is there an easy-way?
i only need a build-script for the binary-version
of OJB, that "installs" OJB-internal-tables into
database.

or is there a reason for "building" all ?

thanks for advice!

greetings
ralf
