It doesn't matter what the most famous forename is. The relevant fact here is that Jürgen Habermas already has an entry at http://openlibrary.org/authors/OL146171A/Jürgen_Habermas which is a far lower number (146,171 is less than 6,171,008), and that author page has a photo, Wikipedia link and other data that establishes that this is the official Jürgen Habermas entry. So all books that belong to Jürgen Habermas should be moved to that author identity. If any books remain at the 6,171,088 entry, which cannot be moved to lower numbered author entries, this entry should now be enhanced with the forename, photo and Wikipedia link (where available) of the most prominent author of the remaining books. > 3. (Make sure the entries have full name, photo, Wikipedia link, where possible.) Update the books so they link to the right individual entries, not this group entry. If there are two author pages that have Wikipedia links to the same Wikipedia article, that is a mistake that can be discovered by analyzing the database dump / export format. It shouldn't happen very often. In most cases, if there is a Wikipedia link, that is a sign of an "official" author entry. For lesser known authors, who don't have Wikipedia articles, and where it can be hard to identify which is the right author of a book, this problem becomes a little harder. But the same procedure can be followed. -- Lars Aronsson ([email protected]) Aronsson Datateknik - http://aronsson.se _______________________________________________ Ol-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.archive.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/ol-discuss To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send email to [email protected]
