I don't think I can help you, but fairly recently I did ask about the possibility of including serials. I used the term magazines at the time. I believe you said that there were no plans to do anything about those in the near future, so I immediately gave up any hope for it to happen. I appreciate now learning that it is being looked into after all. The context in which I brought it up was that I had pretty much given up using Project Gutenberg because if Open Library has everything that Gutenberg does plus more then I would have one less site to worry about. Then I realized that Gutenberg did have things that Open Library does not, magazines. Does this news you are dropping here mean that the public domain magazines from Gutenberg are to be included in the Open Library catalog? Personally, I think it would not be a bad idea to have a seperate site for periodicals, but my technical knowledge does not allow me to assess how feasible that might be.
