The books API used to return OL3674962M earlier, but started returning OL23271188M now. There are two identical editions, both published by Pantheon Books in 2006. One has a cover and other doesn't. http://openlibrary.org/works/OL5718597W/The_brief_history_of_the_dead I think the best thing to do right now is to make the Books API pick the one with cover if there is a conflict. The right solution is to get rid of the duplicate editions.
