Right. So we need to fill in that time. If necessary we can contact the 
person who was running the import programs. The direction of OL changed 
at that point because there was a new manager, and emphasis was on the 
UI. It may be that no other library sources were imported at that point,

Actually, Aaron ceased being involved in 2009. George Oates took over at 
that point. George left in 2010/11? So there hasn't been a manager over 
OL for a long while. These are big shoes to step into, and part of what 
I think we need to do is to manage our expectations and figure out what 
we can really do.

Have you looked at Library Thing and the way they do data import? I 
think that something like that could possibly work for OL -- basically 
you put in a few terms (or an ISBN) and the data is retrieved from a 
database with an API. This works as long as some other library has 
received and cataloged the book.

I like the idea of creating "collections". OL has "lists" but a 
collection is a bit different. Not sure where to go with that... but 
it's a thought.
