The Olds slant pan B&M I picked up today cost me a bit,but the 394 in the
background of picture was free :).
Are you willing to tell how much she cost?
IIRC a 394 bored and stroked is 482!
But i heard tell of destroking today for revs?
Get a stock 394 crank. Same for rods, if the PO used different ones.
However, the pistons will be different because the compression height had to
be changed.
However, Thunder's first 2 engines were 482s. They had an absolute redline
of 8300 RPM. Is that enough? :-)))
If the 394/482 won't rev high, that's due to old style forged pistons that
are way too heavy, plus a few other possible details. I would need more info
to understand why the revs are limited.
