Garth, Hey I'm working on my A/C dash on my 70 442 as we speak... Yes you can as long as it has the upper center vent in it. Some car came with a delete plate screwed in place of the vents... You just have to make sure the car had astro ventulation, that is the vents on both sides of the dash. All dashes 1970 -72 are the same.
I'm detailing my a/c vents right now, new paint and cleaning them good. The dash is looking real good with the new dash bead from Fusick. Installed supper easy and looks great. If you get one remember there is a protective cover on it so it remove after installing. Oh and another tip, I got a whole new dash harness for my 70 442 and it only comes with the main harness. It does come with any a/c harness or the small harness that runs along the dash providing lighting for lower dash. I'm glad I did not cut anything!!
