Checked under the front seat nothing, pulled the rear seat, found seats belts that have been under there forever,  the seat bottem is  all berlap and padding that resembles the lint that comes out of the dryer. This stuff is old, the floorunder the rear seat is covered with a berlap/cardboard material that is for the most part sealed tot he floorboards.  What comes up by itself  thereis nnothing underneath. I will say this car is solid nothing but virgin metal there. I think if someone was to ever take the seat coverings off, all the berlap and padding would just vaporize!  Don't feel like pulling the front seat to check under the carpet, what do you mean by kick panel?  The ones with the vents? because the driver side looks like you need to remove the parking brake mechanism to do that, the pass. side looks easier but I don't want to remove and replace things that I don't have to, I'm fairly lazy and believe in "if it aint broke, dont mess with it"  I do need a new sending unit for the gas tank and saved an article for doing it correctly, but I really don't feel mlike doing it.  I'm sure it would still be there and the unit should be replaced. Any other easier places to look first? Thankss Steven

Try top of gas tank, under back saet, under carpet, front kick panels or as you said front seat. Most commonly ft/rear/tank.

I will have to look for a build sheet in this car, It def. has the w31 on the fenders and I am only the 3rd owner, they could have easily been put on, if nthe car has the build sheet with the verification that would really be one rare car.  I believe the only place I might find the build sheet would be inder the rear seat, is that correct?  This thing def. has the alum. manifold on it.

Yes, this is it.

I don't know where you got that information, but there were no W-31
Rallye 350s - the Rallye 350 used the same base 350 4bbl engine as the
Cutlass Supreme.

And all 1970 350s used #6 heads, with the W-31 having larger 2.00"
intake valves.
