The truck is a 78 cheyenne, I see you have a hardtop, the truck doors fit the body like a pot car ie. sedan.  so i really can't answer that question, sorry.  they did have the proper indentations for the door to snug up correctly when shut. Steven

How about the Roof Rail Weatherstrip? What the windows fit up into along the top.

Do they have a groove that the windows fit up into, like the original??

Find someone with original roof rail weatherstripping,  you’ll see what I mean.

Also look at where the roof rail weatherstrip ends, does it fit well, like the original.

I have bought:

SoftSeal
Steele Rubber
Metro

They do not look or fit like the originals. Steele came the closest.

Thanks.

Yeah that’s what the catalogues say but I have heard otherwise.

The all the repro stuff is crap as far as I’m concerned if you compare it to the originals.

Just want a double check.

Just pulled out the JCWhitney catologue,  these are repro's but the part #s for all the cars you mentioned are exactly the same.  I would bet dollars to doughnut that they are the same frin GM, any oldtimer body man will tell you of the top of his head right away.

Does anyone know if the original(not Repro)roof rail weatherstripping used for a cutlass/442 hartdtop(GM parts :Right  9823130 Left 9823131) were identical for a Chevelle, GTO and Skylark of the same years?

IF not,  what years,  makes, and models were the same? Can one tell from a GM Parts Computer????????
