I'd shoot him thru the cage. Shouldn't be a problem - a dead skunk will stink, but not actually spray. Might leak a little, but no big deal.
If you bury him 4 feet down, you've got it made. Next time, dig the hole right by where you set the trap, before the event occurs. Then, you can shoot, dump, and fill, with minimal skunk transport. Wes
