One thing I noticed is that the original stripes found on many 68 442s are there. The ones that run just below the chrome starting at the front of the fenders, along the doors and around the windows. You can clearly see them in the last three pictures. If you click on 'enlarge is photo' the stripe is very clear. You can also see it in the pic of the drivers seat, on the rear quarter. I would say that the car was repainted with a thin coat of green and when buffed out the original stripe showed through. You can even pick out the stripe under the green paint just past the areas where it is visible. I agree, why would you replace the doors and not paint the jams when the main body areas were painted? Possible repaint to the original color? The doors have rust also. Without a shot of the tim tag for the paint code we will never know if it was jade green or one of the shades of blue for that year. Anyone notice that the right fender front chrome was damaged along with the bumper not lining up correctly with both fenders. Wonder if part of or all of the front clip was replaced or at east removed then reinstalled incorrectly.
